Job summary

Peninsula Jewish Community Center's Camp KEFF is seeking enthusiastic counselors to support youth in TK–5 in a fun, safe, and engaging camp environment. Under the Camp Director, you will help children feel welcome, safe, and valued through daily interactions and a variety of activities aligned with Jewish values.

Hours vary during December 2026, including training on Friday evenings and multiple shifts throughout the month.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in TK–5 setting is preferred.
• Passion for creating powerful camp experiences for youth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the emotional and physical safety of children.
• Resolve conflicts within the group as necessary.
• Engage with campers and plan/implement programs for campers.
• Collaborate with other staff to support Camp Keff goals and spirit.
• Uphold the mission and values of PJCC and Camp Keff.

Hundreds of campers attend our programs each year to enjoy our week-long sessions filled with Jewish values, inspired to make the world a better place! All our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association.Camp Counselors are the heart of Camp Keff programs. Under the direction of the Camp Director, counselors work to ensure that each child feels welcome, safe, and loved at camp through their daily interactions with children under their care. Counselors have a special opportunity to make a change in the life of a child while developing valuable professional skills and program planning experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
