Peninsula Jewish Community Center’s Camp KEFF is seeking energetic counselors to support youth in a safe, nurturing environment. You will help campers build self-esteem, friendships, and skills while sharing Jewish values and fun activities across sessions.

Under Camp Director guidance, you will plan engaging programs, handle daily interactions, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure campers feel welcome, safe, and loved throughout all sessions.

Formación

• Experience working with youth in TK–5
• Passionate about creating powerful experiences in a camp setting
• Knowledge of Jewish culture a plus

Then Camp KEFF is the place for you!The Peninsula Jewish Community Center’s (PJCC) Camp KEFF has provided outstanding summer, fall, winter, and spring programs for youth from preschool to grade 11 for more than five decades. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where youth & teens can play and grow while loving their authentic selves. Hundreds of campers attend our programs each year to enjoy our week-long sessions filled with Jewish values, inspired to make the world a better place! All our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association.Camp Counselors are the heart of Camp Keff programs. Under the direction of the Camp Director, counselors work to ensure that each child feels welcome, safe, and loved at camp through their daily interactions with children under their care. Counselors have a special opportunity to make a change in the life of a child while developing valuable professional skills and program planning experience.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. This position requires walking and standing for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The work environment is characterized as loud. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel items. The employee is regularly required to stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, run, crawl and or a combination of several of the items listed above. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Hours:6:00pm – 7:00pm, Friday December 16, 2026 (paid training)8:00am – 4:00pm, Thursday – Friday, December 17 - 18, 20268:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday, December 21 - 24, 20268:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday, December 28 - 31, 2026Salary Range: $721- $836 per week (5 days), plus paid training. Additional rate of $18.00/hour for all extended care hours. Free membership to the Athletic Center during the days in which you are contracted.Qualifications:Experience working with youth in Grades TK – 5, preferredPassionate about working with youth and creating powerful experiences in a camp settingKnowledge of Jewish culture a plusExperience working in a camp setting a plus
