Job summary

Dexterra Group in the United States is seeking a detail‑oriented Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms, dormitories, washrooms, and common areas across a large camp facility.

The project will launch at about 500 rooms and grow to over 4,000 rooms, with daily room assignments and checklists. You will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Lead Housekeeper and ensure accommodations remain clean, safe, and guest‑ready.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Experience in hotel, institutional, workforce accommodations, camp, or lodge environments considered an asset.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35–50 pounds.
• Willingness to follow all safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms and dormitories, including beds and linens.
• Clean and disinfect washrooms and shower facilities.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways and common areas.
• Complete room turn-overs and check-outs per schedules.
• Clean and sanitize laundry rooms and public high-touch points.
• Report maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Follow all safety, infection-control, and PPE requirements.
• Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as assigned.
