Job summary

YMCA Camp Greenville in the Blue Ridge Mountains is seeking a Health Hut Coordinator for the summer. You will oversee Health Center operations, coordinate medication administration with nurses and EMTs, and ensure health and cleanliness standards across the camp.

You will model safety and integrity while supporting campers and staff from diverse backgrounds. Must be 20 by June 2027, CPR/First Aid certified or able to obtain, and able to pass an MVR.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years old by June 2027.
• CPR/First Aid certification or able to obtain by June 2027.
• Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between camp administration, nurse manager, and Health Care Team.
• Assist with coordinating medication administration and paperwork.
• Collaborate for efficient processes and clear communication.
• Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
• Model camp values with integrity, creativity, and safety.
• Oversee health and well-being of campers mentally, emotionally, and physically.
• Approach responsibilities in a fun, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
• Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
• Attend required abuse risk management training.
• Follow procedures for managing high-risk activities and supervision.
• Follow mandated reporting requirements.

YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause-driven leader to fulfill the role of Health Hut Coordinator for the summer. The Health Care Coordinator oversees procedures and protocols pertaining to the operations of the camper and staff health needs at the campus Health Center; coordinates the health care management at Camp, assists nurses and paramedics/EMT’s, maintains and manages health and cleanliness standards and procedures.

• Serve as the liaison between camp administration, the camp nurse manager, and the volunteer Health Care Team (nurses and EMT’s).
• Assist with coordinating medication administration (dispensing of medication not allowed), paperwork, and forms.
• Collaborating for efficient processes and clear communication among all.
• Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
• Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind always.
• Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp
• Must approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner.

Qualifications
