Qualifications

Job description

Camp Jamison is hiring a Health Director to oversee camper and staff wellness during our overnight summer camp. We’re a joyful, nature-rooted space serving primarily Black and Brown youth from Philadelphia — and this summer marks our 15th year!

The Health Director leads our camp health center, manages medication administration, and ensures compliance with NYSDOH safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer first aid and respond to on-site medical needs
• Distribute medications and maintain medical records
• Conduct health screenings and monitor daily wellness
• Review camper and staff health forms
• Keep medical supplies organized and fully stocked

Requirements (must meet one, licensed in NY):

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• LPN or EMT with prior camp experience (subject to DOH approval)

Additional:

• At least 21 years old
• Current CPR & First Aid certifications
• Experience with youth or residential settings strongly preferred
