Job summary

Camp Kern is seeking a Seasonal/Non-Exempt housekeeping worker to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across the facility and grounds. The role supports YMCA standards and a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of cleaning experience; responsibilities include restroom and surface cleaning, waste management, supply replenishment, and light maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months or more of related cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, and other assigned areas of the building.
• Cleans and maintains floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
• Empties waste containers.
• Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies.
• Performs dusting and maintains entrances and offices.
• Performs light maintenance such as bulb replacement and soap dispenser installation.
• Cleans sidewalks/exterior areas.
• Sets up furniture and signage for events.
• Cleans according to outlined methods.
• Monitors equipment and supplies and reports concerns to the supervisor.
• Follows safety guidelines and communicates needed repairs or incidents.
