Joining Champions means supporting hardworking families and elementary-aged children during out-of-school time, on school grounds. You'll partner with administrators to bring our programs to districts or work directly with students to inspire higher aspirations. Your role will be pivotal in fostering inspired learning.

As a Camp Director, your responsibilities include:

  1. Recruiting, leading, training, and supervising a team of counselors to create unique and engaging camp experiences. Developing passionate and committed professionals among your team.
  2. Managing the business portfolio and making decisions to enhance revenue and family retention.
  3. Ensuring effective camp operations, maintaining high-quality programs, and upholding health and safety standards for all campers and staff.
  4. Promoting outdoor activities and a nature-oriented mindset.
  5. Partnering with parents to provide the best care and experiences for children.
  6. Cultivating positive relationships with families, counselors, licensing authorities, community contacts, and partners.
  7. Leading recruitment and enrollment efforts through hosting hiring and enrollment events.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills include:

  • At least 1 year of summer camp experience as a lead, with the ability to recruit, develop, and inspire a team.
  • A passion for children and creating engaging, fun environments.
  • Outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to communicate daily activities creatively to families.
  • Experience with budget management and revenue generation is preferred.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with client partners through regular interactions.
  • Self-sufficient, resourceful, and positive in overcoming challenges.
  • Strong conflict resolution, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable around water and knowledgeable about water safety.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements.
