DESCRIPTION

Harand Camp of the Theatre Arts, an established musical theater and activities camp for children aged 7-18, is seeking Camp Counselors (18+) for its 70th Anniversary Season (June 9 – July 29, 2025). Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with kids and the ability to teach or assist in various activity areas.

We welcome applicants with diverse skills, not limited to performing arts. Priority areas include technical theater, costumes, arts & crafts, performing arts, sports, games & activities, and certified lifeguards.

Counselors must be able to work and reside on campus at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI during the camp, from June 9 to July 29, 2025. Full room and board are provided, including a single or double dorm room at Carthage and three meals daily in “The Caf,” valued at approximately $500+ per week.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18+ (out of high school)
• Excellent with kids of all ages
• Ability to instruct or assist in various activity classes
• High energy and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Positive attitude, common sense, and sound judgment
• Sincere desire to serve as a role model for children

• $1400+ stipend for Assistant Counselors (18+)

• Additional compensation for experience or certifications (Lifeguard, WSI, Nursing)
• Full room & board at Carthage College (valued at ~$500+/week)
• Travel stipend available for those from outside Illinois/Wisconsin
• Dates: June 9 – July 29, 2025 (seven-week commitment including orientation)
