Qualifications

Are you interested in outdoor education – sharing a connection to the land, building community, and offering opportunities to explore the creative arts? Come work at Friends School of Portland this summer! Friends School of Portland is a small independent Quaker school for children preschool through eighth-grade. We have four camp groups: Chickadee ages 4 & 5, Fox ages 6-8, Crow ages 9-11, and CIT ages 12-14. Our camp season runs Monday-Friday for seven weeks, June 16-August 1, 8:30am-3:00pm (staff hours are 8-3:30). Camp staff also attend planning days on June 12 & 13.

There are positions available for both Lead Counselors (with experience in education and/or leading camps) and Assistant Counselors. Positions are available for 2-7 weeks.
