About this opportunity: (Seasonal)

Assists in any area as assigned by the Camp Head Counselor. Serves as back-up to camp staff.

Key responsibilities:

1. Assist Camp Counselor with a group of four to twelve campers, helping each camper adjust and get to know others and camp life.
2. Interpret and maintain safety and health regulations of the camp.
3. Support Camp Counselor with individual camper participation in group units and activities.
4. Perform ministry functions such as presenting devotional material, praying with campers, or leading Christian songs.
5. Be prepared with rainy day activities.
6. Ensure all cleaning solutions are securely stored and used under supervision.
7. Ensure beds have at least 30 inches of space on each side for movement and emergency exit.
8. Participate enthusiastically in evening programs, special events, overnights, and camp activities.
9. Assist with meal supervision as a table monitor when needed.
10. Maintain personal living quarters in a neat and clean condition.
11. Participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Camp Director.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Any combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Position may require endurance activities such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Must have good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours. Exposure to sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.
