Camp Crossroads is a free, transformational weekend camp offered 4-6 times a year for youth impacted by substance abuse in their families. All camp weekends are held at Camp Men-O-Lan in Quakertown.

While at camp, campers can expect:

  • A supportive, educational environment to learn and grow with guidance from select mentors.
  • Traditional camp activities (climbing wall, fishing, hiking, swimming) and therapeutic group activities (psychoeducation groups).
  • New friendships with peers sharing similar experiences.
  • A fun, memorable weekend!

The Camp Counselor will work as part of the therapeutic program team, engaging with campers throughout the weekend. They will collaborate with the Practice Administrator and master’s level Clinician to support daily operations, including groups, meals, lodging, transitions, and recreation. The counselor will also lead some therapeutic groups to meet campers’ needs and ensure a successful camp experience.

  • Actively participate in all activities, leading some as needed, and championing program initiatives and the camp mission.
  • Assist with transitions between activities, setup, and teardown.
  • Serve as a role model in cleanliness, punctuality, chores, rules, and sportsmanship.
  • Work as part of a team to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain supervision ratio (1:5) for program activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all handled materials and ensure proper release of information.
  • Follow policies regarding safety, employee conduct, and environmental standards.
  • Model the Network’s PCRAFT values during interactions.
  • Engage in performance improvement activities related to clinical care, customer service, operations, and safety.
  • Use resources efficiently and responsibly.
  • Adhere to attendance and dress code policies.
  • Demonstrate age-appropriate assessment, treatment, and communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the camp.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field.

Training and Experience:

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with mental health or substance abuse disorders.
