Camp CARE Schedule:

• July 28, 2025 – July 31, 2025
• August 4, 2025 - August 7, 2025

Volunteers must be able to commit to at least one full week of camp.

About Camp CARE:

CARE of Southeastern Michigan is accepting volunteer applications for Camp CARE, a two-week camp for children from kindergarten through high school affected by a loved one’s substance use. As a member of the Prevention Team, the ideal candidate will work with youth to deliver programming focused on building self-esteem, resiliency, and leadership skills. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with CARE staff to prepare age-specific activities and lesson plans for the camp season.
2. Co-lead groups of 10-15 youth, facilitate lessons, and lead craft projects and games.
3. Interact positively with campers, staff, and guests, serving as a role model.
4. Assist with campsite setup and preparation, including lesson planning (2-4 sessions) before camp.
5. Support staff in managing camp activities and ensuring a safe, engaging environment.
