Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks a Cabin Leader for Big Bear Valley to support safe, engaging camping experiences for youth. You will foster social skills, responsibility, leadership, and positive communal living while supervising campers.

You will participate in planning and leading programs, supporting evening activities, and upholding health and safety procedures throughout camp sessions in California.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; AA in Child Development or related field preferred.
• Prior experience working with groups of K-12 students in academic or recreational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Focus on camper development (social skills, responsibility, leadership).
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each camper.
• Be a role model and follow camp policies, routines, and safety procedures.
• Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for campers.
• Lead activities with unit and entire camp during all-camp activities.
• Assist in program areas such as nature, archery, low ropes and other camp activities as directed.
