Job summary

Google Mountain View seeks a Camera Control Systems Calibration Engineer to design and analyze the camera actuator control systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance metrics and user impact.

Responsibilities include vendor coordination, lab validation, developing testing tools, and creating automated data analysis frameworks in Python and C++ to improve calibration efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with mechatronic system control design.
• 2 years of experience programming in Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze camera actuator's control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define figures of merit and assess user impact for production and new technology cameras.
• Collaborate with vendors to understand capabilities and drive improvements; ensure correct test implementations and data examination.
• Conduct lab validation and troubleshooting; characterize actuator hardware performance; develop new test equipment and algorithms.
• Develop automated frameworks for measurement and data analysis using Python and C++ to enhance calibration and validation.
