Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality seeks a Cook for the Cambria Hotel Chicago Loop. This part-time weekend AM shift role involves preparing and supervising food across outlets, from restaurant to room service and events.

You will ensure dishes look and taste exceptional while maintaining kitchen workflow and safety standards. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of kitchen experience (hotel or related field) and a Food Handlers Certification.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field.
• Food Handlers Certification required (state requirements).
• Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while evaluating situations.
• A strong communicator who listens actively to coworkers and guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring high quality, portions, and presentation.
• Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistent food quality.
• Anticipate challenges and resolve issues to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and guests to address questions and concerns.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.
• Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise.
• Manage time to ensure prompt food preparation and service.
