Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS is seeking a qualified clinician to assess clients seeking mental health or substance use services and to connect them with appropriate resources in Pinellas County. The role requires strong empathy, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently within SOPs.

Qualifications

• Master's level clinician registered as an intern.
• Bachelor’s degree with five (5) plus years of professional experience.
• Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT etc.) in the state of FL strongly preferred.
• Experience in conducting screenings, assessments, and navigating the behavioral health and substance use disorder landscape.
• Empathy and passion for helping vulnerable populations.
• Ability to set priorities and work independently while following standard operating procedures.
• Friendly and compassionate; comfortable communicating directly with clients in need and community-based organizations.
• Resourceful and fast-paced; able to conduct quick, exhaustive online research
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive feedback to community-based organizations serving Pinellas County residents to ensure program standards and metrics are met.
• Continuously expand knowledge of community resources, services, and programs to understand community issues and build relationships with other users of the Unit platform
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Need

• Ability to lift or carry up to 25lbs when required.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must have a valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
