Overview

Calvary Memorial Church (cmcracine.org) is a faithful congregation seeking a Youth Pastor.

Church Background

The Calvary Memorial Church began in the early 1900s in a small chapel on Lindermann Avenue. It was formed after evangelistic meetings in 1915, initially known as the Gospel Tabernacle. The church has always been independent and non-denominational, emphasizing the Bible's sufficiency, spiritual growth, fellowship, worship, and evangelism.

Role Purpose

Our goal is to prepare God's people for service, building up the body of Christ towards unity and spiritual maturity (Ephesians 4:12-13). The Youth Pastor will work with the Senior Pastor and Elder Council to shepherd and oversee the congregation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Meets the biblical qualifications for Elders (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4; 2 Tim. 2:15, 22-25)
  • Exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit and godly character (Gal. 5:22-23; Col. 3:12-17)
  • Preaching and teaching must be Biblically grounded (1 Tim. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 4:1-2; Titus 1:9)
  • Agrees with the church's Statement of Faith and Bylaws
  • Has received sufficient Biblical training
Responsibilities
Overseeing Student Ministries
  • Lead and oversee middle and high school youth ministry
  • Teach or facilitate teaching on Sundays and Wednesdays
  • Oversee volunteer staff and discipleship efforts
  • Lead retreats, special events, and an annual mission trip
  • Partner with parents in discipleship
  • Manage budget
  • Care for the spiritual needs of staff, families, and students
Overseeing Congregational Ministries
  • Oversee various church ministries (Men’s/Women’s Ministries, Christian Education, etc.)
  • Recruit and train volunteers
  • Collaborate with Senior Pastor on church initiatives
  • Assist with pastoral responsibilities (visitation, preaching, shepherding, etc.)
  • Help plan worship services, baptisms, and dedications
  • Represent the church as a voting Elder
Working Relationship

Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Elder Council.
