Job Description And Duties

Under general direction of an Caltrans Maintenance Area Superintendent, the Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and assigns the work of employees engaged in the maintenance and/or installation of signs on State highways. The incumbent enforces safety and health policies and procedures as contained in the Department's Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). The incumbent will assist in work relating to the maintenance of signage (ground mounted, overhead structures) along State highways and operate light vehicles and equipment requiring a Class C Driver's License used by assigned unit.
