Under supervision, the incumbent maintains landscape plantings, performs weed control, soil sterilization, maintains irrigation systems, oversees MPRO workers, removes homeless encampments, and performs graffiti abatement. Involves heavy manual labor. Must operate light vehicles and equipment, possess a valid Class C driver’s license, and may be assigned duties of a Highway Maintenance Worker.
Eligibility: Based on score on the Caltrans Landscape Maintenance Worker Exam or current eligibility on the state examination list. To apply for the exam, search by classification title on the CalCareers website.

Locations include 500 Queens Lane, San Jose; 115 Dempsy Rd., Milpitas; 10130 Bubb Rd, Cupertino; Santa Clara County. New hires will be placed at the minimum salary or alternate range if applicable.
