Job summary

Aggregate Mineral Resource Group, LLC. is seeking an Aggregate Technician to support sampling, testing, and quality control across quarry and processing facilities.

The role requires performing laboratory and field tests to ensure materials meet Caltrans specifications and maintain thorough testing documentation. The ideal candidate will have Caltrans certifications and 2–5 years of aggregate testing experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in industrial environments.

Qualifications

  • Current Caltrans aggregate testing certifications required.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of aggregate testing/quality control experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of aggregate production processes and testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of Caltrans standards, lab testing protocols, and QA requirements.
  • Experience with both laboratory and field testing for aggregates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aggregate sampling, testing, and QA per Caltrans standards.
  • Conduct lab and field testing of aggregates (gradations, moisture, density, sand equivalent).
  • Collect and document representative samples from quarry, crushing, and stockpiles.
  • Maintain testing records, QA docs, and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure products meet Caltrans specs and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations to address material quality issues.
  • Monitor production trends and report quality concerns to leadership.
