Northrop Grumman is seeking embedded software engineers to join our Chandler, AZ team. The role focuses on OO C/C++ development in Linux, real-time embedded software, and handling multiple RTOS environments. You will contribute to full software lifecycles and collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team.

On-site position with opportunities for growth; candidates must have, or be eligible for, a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master's with 1 year (Level 2).
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3).
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, or Master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4).
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop OO software in C/C++ within a Linux environment.
• Design and test embedded real-time software.
• Work in RTOS environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, or Yocto Linux.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex issues.

We are recruiting for junior, mid-level, and senior engineers with a background in Embedded Software Engineering to support our team in Chandler, AZ. Due to the nature of this work, this position will be 100% on-site.

Key Skills and Responsibilities include:

• Object Oriented (OO) Software development experience in C/C++ in a Linux environment
• Embedded real-time software development, debug and test
• Real time operating systems (RTOS) environments including VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or other equivalent RTOS
• Full software development lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Basic Qualifications for Levels 2-4:

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $184,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
