Accent Dance NYC seeks experienced teaching artists who are strong in teaching Latin rhythms (including, but not limited to bachata, salsa, cha cha, tango, etc) for upcoming teaching opportunities during the 2026/7 school year that will include residencies, master classes, and workshops throughout the city. Accent Dance NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance.

We prioritize hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Latin rhythms (bachata, salsa, cha cha, tango, etc.)
• Strong teaching skills for K-12 or community classes

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Latin rhythms instruction
• Develop and adapt curriculum for residencies, master classes, and workshops

Compensation: $100/hr

Accent Dance NYC seeks experienced teaching artists who are strong in teaching Latin rhythms (including, but not limited to bachata, salsa, cha cha, tango, etc) for upcoming teaching opportunities during the 2026/7 school year that will include residencies, master classes, and workshops throughout the city.

Accent Dance NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance. We prioritize hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve. BIPOC artists are especially encouraged to apply, although all are welcome.

If chosen, written curriculum outline/ lesson plans will be required. Anyone chosen will need to be fingerprinted by the NYC DoE, if you are not already.
