Job summary

Accent Dance NYC seeks experienced teaching artists who are strong in teaching hip hop (including breaking, house, and popping/locking) for upcoming teaching opportunities during the 2026/7 school year that will include residencies, master classes, and workshops throughout the city.

Chosen candidates may be required to have NYC DoE fingerprinting and will need to develop written curriculum outlines/lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching hip hop dance styles.
• Ability to develop written curricula and lesson plans.
• Fingerprinting by NYC DoE may be required for selected candidates.

Responsibilities

• Teach hip hop styles (including breaking, house, popping/locking) in solo or group settings.
• Deliver residencies, master classes and workshops across NYC.
• Prepare and submit curriculum outlines and lesson plans as required.
