Job summary

Optum is seeking a licensed RN to perform telephonic clinical assessments and determine appropriate care levels using approved protocols. This remote role supports ProHealth Care and allows work from anywhere in the United States.

Required: Associate's degree in nursing, current RN licensure, and 2+ years of clinical experience. Epic EMR experience preferred. Pay ranges from $29.00 to $52.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.

Positions in this function require various nurse licensure and certification based on role and grade level. Licensure includes RN, depending on grade level, with current unrestricted licensure in applicable state. Roles are responsible for providing telephonic clinical assessments utilizing approved medical protocols per policy and recommending an appropriate level of clinical care based on clinical judgment and protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess patient's health status and recommend care based on clinical judgment and protocols
• Identify potential care and/or provider gaps
• Coach consumers on treatment alternatives
• Coordinate services and referrals to health programs and community services
• Assess and triage immediate health concerns

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing
• Current, unrestricted RN licensure (include state specific license)
• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Ability to work the following schedule, Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm CST

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• EMR experience, specifically with Epic
