Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Call Center Specialist to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families for the achievement of improving their mental health. Join our team and discover a rewarding, fulfilling career. Brentwood Hospital is a 260-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Brentwood has served Louisiana, East Texas, and South Arkansas for more than 45 years. We provide quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We help individuals and families achieve optimal mental health, resulting in improved quality of life. A dedicated professional team provides individualized treatment, meeting the personal needs of our patients in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Call Center Specialist receives intake calls and unplanned individual/family walk-ins with compassion, empathy, a sense of service and urgency, and ensures each person receives an appropriate assessment by intake or referral. Thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other intake-related paperwork is a critical component of the job.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Answers telephone within 3 rings using the appropriate greeting and attempts to obtain all pertinent clinical, demographic, and insurance information from the caller to determine caller’s needs.
  2. Performs telephonic risk assessment to determine level of suicidality/homicidality with caller in crisis; utilizes the 911 emergency systems whenever a caller is at serious risk to harm self or others.
  3. Accurately and thoroughly completes Inquiry Call Sheet (ICS) to include obtained information and outcome of telephonic assessment.
  4. Schedules assessments, psychiatric evaluations, and admissions with potential patient/referral source; explains the evaluation and admission process to the potential patient/referral source and informs patient of necessary items to bring for hospital stay.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services field required.
  • Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
