VCU Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking to hire a Call Center Research Assistant to assist with all aspects of research project implementation including data collection, reporting, study participant logistics, and miscellaneous research support.

Primarily responsible for conducting structured telephone interviews with study subjects. May also be called upon to assist with administrative tasks related to research implementation such as scheduling meetings and conference calls for study staff, disseminating communications via email and keeping notes of study meetings.

This is a restricted position with no set end date and continued employment is dependent upon the availability of funding.

This position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Requires demonstrated computer skills including proficient use of MS Word, excellent oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

The candidate must be available for remote rotating shifts, including:

9:00 AM to 5:30 PM,11:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Availability to work on some weekends is required.

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA in Healthcare or related field or equivalent applicable experience or training

Experience working on, managing and coordinating research studies; experience in research call center operations.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.

Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Strong interpersonal skills for participant interactions and maintaining rapport.
