Job description

Remote (Chicago-based only) – You must live in the Chicago area to be considered for this role.

Overview : We are seeking a Part-Time Bilingual Call Center Representative for a medical service provider. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish and must be able to read scripts in both languages. The call center representative will assist customers and providers with general inquiries and specific account troubleshooting. Excellent verbal communication skills and accurate documentation of customer interactions are essential.

Temp to Perm Role : Based on strong performance, there is an opportunity to transition to a permanent position after six months.

Schedule : Part-Time, Monday-Wednesday, 15-20 hours per week.

Paid Training Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm.

Pay : $18.20/hour for bilingual in English and Spanish.

Requirements :

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to work with multiple screens
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM
  • Comfortable on camera during shifts
  • Internet speed of at least 20MBPS
  • Must be able to commute to South Loop, Chicago when needed
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others

Responsibilities :

  • Answer incoming calls from customers, the public, and providers
  • Assist with applications for healthcare coverage and interpret eligibility and enrollment information
  • Fulfill caller requests via mail, email, or download
  • Document inquiries accurately in systems
  • Transfer or refer calls as appropriate
  • Escalate issues when necessary
  • Complete tasks following established guidelines
  • Meet quality and performance metrics
  • Follow policies and procedures during interactions
  • Attend training and stay updated on programs and systems
