• One year experience in a medical office.
• Electronic Health Records experience (E-Clinical Works a Plus).

Responsibilities

• Phones efficiently answered with proper etiquette.
• Obtain 90% target for inbound and outbound calls to and from patients.
• Schedules patients for in-house procedures in the correct office with the proper physician or tech.
• Follows the Best Practice Scheduling. Calls directed to the proper department (billing, HR, MA, refills, medical records, etc.).
• Conversations documented in patient medical records if needed.
• Schedules new and established patients; verifies insurance and primary care doctor information.
• Updates patient information in EMR.
• Collects insurance information and updates personal data in patient EMR file.
• Collects patient oop (out of pocket costs) e.g. co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, patient balance.
• Respects privacy and dignity of patients; follows Code of Conduct and HIPAA guidelines.
