Salary Minimum and Maximum: $23-$30 an hour depending on experience!

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to assist the outside parts sales staff, supporting and working with their customers.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Complete necessary calls, documentation and purchase orders for parts orders and/or purchases from assigned outside parts sales staff.
• Pull/Order parts requested by outside parts sales staff. Invoice for O/S parts salesperson to go along with parts pulled for delivery. Have parts ready, in an assigned area (when possible), for pickup and delivery by parts delivery person or O/S parts salesperson.
• Assist with and research information to ensure proper parts are ordered. On special orders, directly communicate with customers and outside sales parts sales staff to ensure accuracy of parts being ordered.
• Assist outside parts sales staff with any problems which may arise in connection with the sale of the parts, including returns and warranties.
• Maintain courteous and continuing relations with customer base and working knowledge of customers' base industries and equipment needs.
• Promote the sale of Kenworth trucks and service. Facilitate communication between customers and these other departments.
• Keep O/S sales staff up to date on order status. Keep them up to date on issues and delays with quotes or shipping delays.
• Field overflow parts requests for back counter and front counter when they are backed up.
• Communicating with dealership receiving personnel to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist Parts Manager with year-end inventory and other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods
• Must Have a highly technical background with good troubleshooting skills
• Must have basic computer skills, and ability to utilize MS office programs as well as Paccar Web Ecat
• Must have the ability to identify and meet Customer needs and requirements
• Must be a hard worker and a self-starter and a problem solver
• Organizational and time management skills a must
• Exceptional phone and Customer service skills required
• Appearance must meet the company image and requirements.

Working Conditions

This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, typing, filing, and key entries on a computer monitor. Extensive telephone and correspondence work required daily. For part of the shift, employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach, moving about to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance daily will be required. Employees will travel by car extensively within and outside the State daily. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
