Job summary

Davies North America is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Lost Time Adjuster in California to manage a caseload of indemnity claims from inception to resolution, coordinating with clients, producers and employers via telephone and written correspondence. The role requires CA WC experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

The salary ranges from $75,000 to $83,000 per year with full benefits and a robust diary system to ensure timely benefit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years related experience; or equivalent.
• California Workers’ Compensation experience required
• WCCA or WCCP designation preferred
• Self-Insured License preferred
• Experience handling WC indemnity and legal claims

Responsibilities

• Conduct and direct investigation to determine AOE/COE with 24-hour contact to EE, ER & MD
• Establish initial reserves and maintain accuracy based on probable outcome
• Authorize medical care and indemnity benefits; manage legal aspects of claims
• Provide quality customer service to clients, producers, employers and injured workers
• Determine settlement value and move cases toward closure
• Other duties as assigned
