Job summary

Making Waves Academy is recruiting a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to run end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for 160+ team members and support AP and GL functions. The role reports to the Business Office and ensures payroll accuracy and compliant reporting.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of California payroll experience, strong Excel, and familiarity with UKG and Sage Intacct. On-site at Richmond, CA with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of California payroll experience for 150+ employees.
• Proficient with UKG, Sage Intacct, and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of CA wage/hour laws and CalSTRS reporting.
• Associate or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 160+ staff using UKG.
• Manage retirement reporting and benefit enrollments.
• Post payroll entries to Sage Intacct and reconcile accounts.
• Support Accounts Payable and general ledger activities.
• Collaborate with People Operations for data accuracy.
