Strategic Legal Practices, APC, a Los Angeles-based litigation firm, seeks Associate Attorneys at varying experience levels to join our California-focused team. This long-term career track offers paths for early-career lawyers as well as those with substantial trial and motions experience.

Responsibilities include appearing in California state court, drafting discovery, supporting motions, and mentoring junior attorneys.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in California (CA Bar admission required).
• Role can be remote with active CA Bar
• 1-5 years of legal experience, including relevant internships, clerkships, or law school clinics.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Appear in California state court for hearings, trial calls, and final status conferences under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, and review opposing parties' submissions.
• Assist in preparing motions and supporting trial preparation.
• Work directly with senior attorneys to build litigation skills across discovery, motions practice, and courtroom appearances.
• Independently draft and argue substantive motions, including motions to compel and dispositive motions.
• Take primary responsibility for case strategy and trial preparation on assigned matters.
• Represent clients in hearings and trial calls with autonomy.
• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, with opportunities to take on greater case management responsibility over time.
