Established California law firm seeks an experienced California-licensed Attorney to join its civil litigation and creditors' rights practice. The role combines courtroom representation with document review, signing, case oversight, and settlement negotiations.

The ideal candidate will appear in court, handle a high volume of filings, and independently manage litigation with support from an experienced legal team.

Qualificações

• Active California law license.
• 5-7 years of civil litigation experience, including collections or creditors' rights.
• Experience appearing in court and independently handling hearings or other litigation proceedings.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, court filings, and legal documentation.
• Ability to sign a high volume of documents with accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze cases and negotiate settlements.
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues or support staff.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Represent clients in court hearings and related civil litigation and collection matters.
• Review, approve, and sign a high volume of pleadings, motions, filings, and other documents.
• Manage litigation matters following California rules and filing requirements.
• Review discovery materials and determine appropriate legal actions.
• Negotiate settlements with various parties and opponents.
• Prepare and file legal documents and ensure timely filings.
• Communicate case progress with Managing Attorney, clients, and staff.
• Conduct legal research and evaluate potential case outcomes.
• Coordinate with outside counsel when needed.
• Assist with client audits and compliance requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in debt collection laws and precedents.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across matters.
