Qualifications

  • Experience with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Able to read technical drawings and work instructions.
  • AS9100 knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with calibration/inventory software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Issue, receive, and manage inventory of tools, gauges, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Track calibration due dates and perform recalls to stay within intervals.
  • Perform in-house calibration using established procedures and standards.
  • Maintain records in calibration/inventory system (Visual Quality).
  • Coordinate with approved external calibration vendors as needed.
  • Inspect tools and gauges before issuance and on return for wear or damage.
  • Maintain calibration documentation per AS9100 standards.
  • Support audits with accurate equipment records.

TSI was founded in 1973 in Tempe, Arizona, by our current owner and president. We now run two shifts and employ over 100 people. We're conveniently located about five minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

About the Role:

Tube Specialties is hiring a Calibration & Tool Crib Technician to manage, maintain, and calibrate the tools and measuring equipment that keep our aerospace manufacturing operation precise and audit-ready. If you're detail-oriented and comfortable working with micrometers, calipers, and gages, this role puts your skills to work every day.

Responsibilities:
  • Issue, receive, and manage inventory of tools, gages, fixtures, and equipment
  • Track calibration due dates and perform recalls to stay within required intervals
  • Perform in-house calibration using established procedures and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records in our calibration/inventory system (Visual Quality)
  • Coordinate with approved external calibration vendors as needed
  • Inspect tools and gages before issuance and upon return for wear or damage
  • Maintain calibration documentation in compliance with AS9100 standards
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate equipment records
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (Trade school/CCT certification or related degree preferred)
  • 1+ year of experience in tool crib, calibration, or manufacturing quality
  • Experience with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
  • Familiarity with calibration/inventory software (Visual Manufacturing preferred)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • AS9100 or aerospace quality standards knowledge a plus
