Job summary

Accutek Labs in Arkansas is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Lab Team and perform on-site calibration of pipettes and a variety of measuring devices. You will ensure accuracy, precision, and reliable results in our ISO17025-aligned shop environment.

The role requires a mechanical/technical background, attention to detail, and strong communication with clients and colleagues to maintain high-quality service and calibrated records.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly
  • Experience working in a technical or mechanical position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations in our shop.
  • Performs pipette cleaning, disassembly, verification, and calibration in accordance with established Service Levels.
  • Service and troubleshoot pipettes to ensure conformance to established manufacturers and customer specifications within the expected range.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with ISO17025.
  • Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.
  • Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Working directly with clients throughout the calibration process from first onsite touch point to completion of project, including good communication to provide client updates to services needed.
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.
  • Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates

Job description

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Lab Team at Accutek Labs, an Accredited Labs Company.

Candidate for Pipette Calibration: Perform calibration service to ensure proper performance, precision, accuracy, and reliable results for commonly used pipettes.

Our Team of Calibration Technicians are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of calibrating various measuring devices and instruments across multiple fields.

As a Calibration Technician-Lab, you will work out of our lab to calibrate various equipment across differing fields. You will be responsible for performing routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment

The ideal candidate comes from a mechanical or technical background with exposure to calibration procedures.

Location: On-site.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations in our shop.

You will be successful in this role if you:
  • Have the ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly.
  • Be aware of the different types of pipettes.
  • Be able to select a suitable pipette tip and know how to fit it to the pipette.
  • Know how to select the volume when using a variable volume pipette.
  • Can adapt to working with different equipment.
  • Are customer oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Are a person who is punctual, respectful, and honest with a positive attitude.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly
  • Experience working in a technical or mechanical position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education, or professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
  • Able to lift 50lbs, climb, kneel, drive and stand for long periods of time
  • Experience working with Manufacturers Quality Systems
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields
  • Technical Degree or Certificate
  • Military PMEL Training
  • Metrology experience
  • Experience with IndySoft
