What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced technician who combines strong technical ability with sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to quality.

A Successful Calibration Technician III Will
  • Have significant calibration experience or equivalent experience in a precision technical field
  • Demonstrate advanced mechanical, electrical, dimensional, or analytical aptitude
  • Be highly proficient with precision measurement equipment within their qualified disciplines
  • Understand calibration principles beyond simply following a procedure

  • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally
  • Be capable of training and developing less-experienced technicians
  • Take ownership and accountability for the quality of their work
  • Continue learning as equipment, technology, and measurement requirements evolve

Experience in calibration, metrology, electronics, dimensional measurement, machining, manufacturing, quality, testing, engineering, or another precision technical environment may be relevant.

Technical Capability Matters More to Us Than Having Followed One Specific Career Path

A Level III technician doesn’t just know how to perform a calibration. They understand why the measurement is being made, what can influence the result, and how to determine whether that result can be trusted.

When something doesn’t look right, they investigate. When a procedure isn’t clear, they know how to find and interpret the technical information needed to move forward. And when a less-experienced technician needs help, they can explain not only what to do - but why.

Level III technicians are people others can rely on for technical knowledge, judgment, quality, and consistency.

This isn’t simply about years of experience. It’s about what you can do with that experience.

Technical Leadership Without Leaving the Bench

Not every great technician wants to become a manager - and they shouldn’t have to become one to continue advancing their career.

Calibration Technician III is an advanced technical role. You’ll have opportunities to mentor others, contribute to technical improvements, solve challenging problems, and strengthen the laboratory while continuing to do hands-on technical work.

For technicians interested in future leadership opportunities, this position also provides a strong foundation for advancement into Lead Technician or other senior roles.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on laboratory position. Team members should be able to:

  • Work throughout the day at laboratory benches and equipment stations, including periods of standing, walking, reaching, and sitting
  • Safely handle tools, instruments, calibration standards and precision equipment
  • Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch as needed to handle equipment
  • Safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for short distances, with assistance when appropriate

We Offer
  • Continued advanced technical training and development
  • Opportunities to expand into additional calibration disciplines
  • Exposure to challenging and diverse precision equipment
  • Opportunities to mentor and develop other technicians
  • Career advancement into senior technical and leadership roles
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • A professional, team-oriented work environment where technical knowledge and quality matter
