Role reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

What you will do

The Calibration Technician performs all responsibilities necessary to troubleshoot, service, adjust, repair, and maintain related equipment supporting plant facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and adjustment of calibration equipment to improve production throughput and equipment efficiency.
  • Implementation of corrective actions and calibration.
  • Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and non-routine maintenance following all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Communicate the calibration plan with equipment owners and maintenance personnel.
  • Develop detailed job task lists for preventative maintenance and planned work orders.
  • Perform equipment calibrations using approved procedures and standards.
  • Participate in developing and revising procedures to improve performance parameters.
  • Capture and document all relevant calibration data.
  • Oversee activities of contract calibration providers and ensure tasks are performed in compliance with procedures.
  • Complete documentation accurately, including CMMS transactions and logbooks.
  • Determine acceptability of calibration certificates based on data analysis and conformance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing technical software applications to enhance calibration operations.
  • Participate in identifying process improvements and mapping.
  • Provide software and application tools to streamline calibration processes.
  • Participate in design, prototyping, and pilot testing.
  • Train others in multiple areas of expertise.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/secondary education or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred. Certification in Instrumentation, Machinist, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics from a Technical School or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and moving materials from 5 to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to interact effectively with operators, management, and external groups.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Production Automation Systems (e.g., Wonderware, MES, SAP, CMMS).

Desired Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical/GMP experience preferred.
