Micro Quality Calibration (MQC) is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to perform calibration, adjustment, and maintenance of precision measurement instruments. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with standards, and the ability to work both independently and on a team.

The position offers onsite work in Chatsworth with a 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule and potential overtime. Salary ranges from $30 to $50 per hour, DOE, reflecting experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience performing calibration of measurement instruments.
• Familiar with ISO 17025 or related quality standards preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and with teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration of measurement standards and customer equipment.
• Generate accurate calibration data and detailed reports.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust instruments as required.
• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with quality standards.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and laboratory best practices.
• Ensure calibrations are performed in accordance with NIST-traceable standards.

Job Title: Calibration Technician
Location: Chatsworth, Onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Optional Overtime)

Position Overview

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements and Skills

• Manual instrumentation calibration experience required
• Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively.
• Ability to sit/ stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits
