Job summary

Getinge in Wayne, NJ is seeking a QA/calibration support role to manage calibration activities for ITME across CAHW, CADI, CS, and SSU. You will coordinate with vendors, facilities, and ITME owners to keep equipment within specifications and document results.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in QA with calibration experience, and exposure to FDA-regulated environments or medical devices. This on-site role offers standard hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • Must have metrology knowledge and precision measurement skills.
  • 2+ years QA experience with calibration procedures.
  • 2+ years in an FDA-regulated industry preferred.
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules outside vendors for calibrations per frequencies.
  • Coordinates with facilities and ITME owners to control calibrations.
  • Monitors calibration schedules to ensure timely calibration of ITME.
  • Records calibration results using designated software.
  • Investigates out-of-tolerance calibration results and supports OOT investigations.

Job Overview

Performs and supports all activities for Inspection Test and Measurement Equipment (ITME) for the Cardiac Assist Hardware (CAHW) Cardiac Assist Disposables (CADI), Cardiac Surgery (CS), and Service Sales Unit (SSU) businesses. Responsible for the control of all ITME and scheduling of calibration with vendors and ITME owners. Properly utilizes the tools and methods for calibration to ensure that all ITME is properly calibrated. Identifies out of tolerance (OOT) calibrations and provides support to OOT Investigators.

Job Responsibilities And Essential Duties
  • Ensures scheduling of outside vendors in accordance with established calibration frequencies.
  • Coordinates with site facilities Management and ITME owners to issue and control all scheduled calibrations to prevent use of out of calibration ITME assets.
  • Monitor calibration schedule to ensure necessary ITME equipment is properly calibrated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure results of ITME calibrations are recorded using the designated calibration software.
  • Investigate calibration results of ITME assets found out of tolerance (OOT) of its designated accuracy.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and repair of test equipment as required.

Minimum Requirements
  • HS degree or equivalent required. Associate's degree and/or related certifications is preferred
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM
  • 2+ years QA experience with working knowledge of calibration procedures and practices.
  • 2 years related experience in an FDA regulated industry is preferred.
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical experience is preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Must have knowledge of metrology skills including a sound understanding dimensional tolerances and usage of precise mechanical measurement instruments.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Products such as Word and Excel or equivalent software applications is preferred.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills

Pay Rate: $33 - $35 / hour + EIP

(This role is eligible for participation in our Excellence Incentive Plan (EIP), an annual incentive program that rewards performance against financial and operational goals)
