CAL-CERT, an Accredited Labs Company, is seeking a Calibration Technician - Field Service to join our lab team. You will travel to customer sites to perform routine and complex calibrations of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our procedures.

You should have a mechanical or technical background with exposure to calibration procedures, and be comfortable communicating with clients throughout the calibration process while maintaining ISO 17025

Qualifications

• 1+ years calibration experience in electrical, physical, or mechanical domains.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate and timely calibrations in shop and at customer sites.
• Perform calibrations per ISO 17025 and documented procedures.
• Calibrate a wide variety of equipment and instruments per procedures.
• Interact with clients from first onsite touchpoint to project completion with clear updates.
• Ensure calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain calibration records and up-to-date documentation.
• Provide excellent service and support to customers.
• Communicate status updates to customers throughout the process.
• Travel to customer locations across Idaho and throughout the US as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Lab Team at CAL-CERT, an Accredited Labs Company.

Our Team of Calibration Technicians are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of calibrating various measuring devices and instruments across multiple fields.

As a Calibration Technician - Field Service, you will be remote and traveling to calibrate various equipment across differing fields at customer sites. You will be responsible for performing routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment in the field.

The ideal candidate comes from a mechanical or technical background with exposure to calibration procedures.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete accurate and timely calibrations both in our shop and at customer sites in the field.
• Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025.
• Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.
• Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Work directly with clients throughout the calibration process from first onsite touch point to completion of project, including good communication to provide client updates on services needed.
• Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.
• Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates.
• Travel to customer locations across Idaho and throughout the US as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field service travel.
• Demonstrated ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly.
• Experience working in a technical or mechanical position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience.
• Experience working with Manufacturer’s Quality Systems.
• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or other Technical Fields.
• Technical Degree or Certificate.
• Military PMEL Training.
• Metrology experience.
• Experience with IndySoft.
