Insight Global is looking for a Calibration Technician in San Diego, California, to conduct electronic and mechanical calibration and maintenance on General Purpose Test Equipment (GPTE) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) according to Navy standards. Understands and applies uncertainties to measurements made.
Follows written Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Performs quality assignments such as 5S ("sort", "set in order", "shine", "standardize" and "sustain").
Performs calibration work with little to no supervision.
Researches requirements, technical documentation, parts, and obsolescence alternatives as necessary.
Conducts calibration work at customer sites (if applicable) with little to no direction.
Maintains lab compliance with external specifications, standards, and regulations.
Continues to develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures, including safety procedures.
