Job summary

Exela Pharma Sciences in Lenoir, NC is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform routine calibration of equipment across processes, following documented procedures and contributing to the quality management system.

You will read SOPs, review external calibration certificates, complete training, and perform testing to troubleshoot quality issues related to calibration. This on-site role requires GMP/GLP familiarity and ability to work a 24/7 shift roster as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of calibration experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted with PPE.
• Familiarity with GMP/GLP, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025:2017.
• Ability to work hours necessary to support shift productions, may include 24/7 roster.
• Strong verbal and written communication, math and measuring skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine calibration of equipment including (but not limited to): temperature, humidity, density, pressure, gas, time, speed, dimensional, conductivity, weight.
• Read and understand SOPs and work instructions to support the manufacturing process and the quality management system.
• Reviews and processes external calibration certificates.
• Complete and maintain all training expectations.
• Performs testing to troubleshoot and make recommendations about quality issues relating to calibration.
• All other duties as assigned

Calibration may include temperature, relative humidity, gas, voltage, pressure, time, rotation, and dimensional, conductivity, mass air flow etc. Following documented procedures using precision standards. Execute calibration procedures and calibration certificates. Perform testing to support the quality management system and report, troubleshoot and make recommendations about quality issues relating to calibration.

Experience Requirements
