About the Role: We are looking for a Calibration Technician to join our team in Flagstaff, Arizona who will calibrate

manufacturing, R&D, and supporting infrastructure equipment. Standard work hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00

  • m. - 2:30 p.m.

This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour). Medical, Dental and Vision benefits effective on Day 1 of employment!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations of equipment in manufacturing, R&D, and supporting infrastructure environments (will require significant time working in clean rooms).
  • Apply measurement science knowledge to diagnose, calibrate, and test measurement equipment in the electrical stimulation, time, temperature, flow, etc. to ensure measurement system integrity.
  • Proactively identifying and communicating calibration concerns or improvements (observations, drift, SOP’s) to engineering, maintenance, and QA teams.
  • Work within an established quality system consistent with regulated industries and meeting documented procedural requirements.
  • Work with multiple teams across the division including production, skilled trades, and technical associates with the dual purpose of maximizing schedule efficiency and minimizing impact to manufacturing.
  • Perform and document calibrations according to established procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position.
  • Support additional responsibilities as required within the scope of the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • A related 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 4 years' equivalent experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial/ laboratory equipment OR CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) Accreditation through ASQ (American Society for Quality)
  • Demonstrated experience working within a quality system or regulated business and ability to adhere to detailed written procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of calibration related regulations, standards, and guidance documents (e.g., 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, NIST, etc.)
  • Demonstrated electronic and mechanical proficiency in calibrating, repairing, and maintaining industrial or laboratory equipment such as manufacturing equipment, logic control systems, pneumatics, electromechanical mechanisms, and drives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the functions and use of various inspection, measurement, and test equipment (e.g., process calibrators, timers, RF , etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as computerized calibration /maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Demonstrated oral & written communication skills with ability to complete tasks both independently and as a team member, while working towards team established goals.
  • Ability to work weekends and off-hours to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to work at heights of at least 15 feet and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of PMEL training
  • Experience with Uncertainty Budgets, Test Uncertainty Ratios and Test Accuracy Ratios
