Qualifications

• High School or Trade School diploma required.
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Electrician license preferred.
• Ability to read prints and understand basic electronics.
• Calibrating units from test procedures; familiarity with shop math.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain and repair electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments used in clad metal strip production.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair operating systems as necessary.
• Observe, monitor and record status of utility equipment.
• Perform routine inspections to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Assist operators in routine maintenance procedures.
• Operate forktrucks, high lifts, scissors lifts, and ladders as needed.
• Maintain records of scheduled and emergency maintenance procedures.
• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks and keep work areas clean.
• Other duties as required.

Position Summary

The Industrial Calibrator is responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing a variety of electrical instrumentation and equipment.

Pay Range: $28.00-$34.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain and repair electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment used in the manufacturing of clad metal strip products.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair operating systems as necessary
• Observe, monitor and record if necessary status of utility equipment
• Make routine, periodic inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery and equipment
• Assist operators in routine maintenance procedures
• Operate and uses forktrucks, high lifts, scissors lift, and ladders as needed
• Maintains records of scheduled and emergency maintenance procedures
• Performs a variety of work in the maintenance
• Maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping in work areas
• Other duties as required

Education and Experience

• High School/Trade School
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Electrician license preferred
• Shop math
• Must be capable of understanding basic electronics, reading prints, and work instruction, calibrating units from test procedures

Physical Demands

• Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment may be required.
• May be required to drive fork truck, climb ladders, and work in small areas
• Must be available for call‑ins and required overtime to support critical situations
