Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. in Frederick, MD seeks a Calibration Technician to support the VCMP at the Frederick National Lab.

You will calibrate equipment, maintain RAM databases, generate calibration records, and help ensure cGMP compliance in a fast-paced biopharma environment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years experience in calibration), proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong writing skills, and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 4 years calibration experience may substitute for education.
• No experience required with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Must understand quality systems compliant with FDA regulations for cGMP.
• Must have good writing skills.
• Must be able to clearly summarize and communicate calibration issues to equipment owners and staff.
• Experience in maintaining databases and data entry.
• Must be able to obtain gown certification and work aseptically in clean room conditions.
• This position is safety sensitive and will be subject to random drug testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and testing of equipment to meet specifications.
• Create and maintain calibration work in RAM database.
• Review executed instrument calibration.
• Prepare Master Calibration Records and Instrument Calibration Records.
• Create and revise SOPs.
• Generate work orders.
• Print calibration reports for daily/monthly activities.
• Update RAM database daily.
