Job summary

Teledyne FLIR in Goleta, CA is seeking a software engineer to design and develop calibration and test software for infrared sensing systems, and to build production support software across the project lifecycle.

You will work in a team to review requirements, design, code, test, and deploy updates, with emphasis on understanding embedded, multi-threaded systems, hardware interfaces, and high-volume product testing.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with C, C#, and/or C++ programming.
Experience developing in Visual Studio is highly desired.
Experience programming in an SQL Server environment is highly desired.
Experience testing equipment in thermal chambers is highly desired.
Understanding of embedded, multi-threaded software design and implementation is very helpful (e.g., Embedded Linux, RTEMS).
Ability to understand both the hardware and software components of embedded systems under test.
Knowledge of I2C, SPI, USB buses.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to set up tool chains, build and debugging environments, and utilize debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
Experience with infrared/visible imaging and image processing is desirable.
Experience testing high-volume products is helpful.
Experience using AI tools for software development in a commercial product environment is required.
