Job summary

American Control & Engineering Service is seeking a full-time Metrology Technician to perform calibrations and surveys on temperature-controlled equipment. The role requires precise adherence to procedures and strong data collection skills.

The position involves early starts around 6 AM, with responsibilities that include documentation, customer service, and continuous training to maintain calibration standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Formal Metrology training is preferred but not required as training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills with Windows, Excel and Word; familiarity with databases.
• Valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent data collection and analysis abilities and attention to detail.
• Punctual, dependable, and capable of starting early around 6 AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations on a wide range of temperature-controlled equipment and instruments.
• Follow established procedures and manufacturers' requirements for accurate calibration.
• Complete documentation to certify verification and calibration of instruments.
• Manage time efficiently to maximize productivity.
• Provide quality service to customers and teammates; be trainable.
• Operate with integrity and adhere to policies during all tasks.
