Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Calibration Lab Technician to perform calibration, verification, and functional testing of mechanical and measurement equipment in support of production, engineering, and quality teams.

What You Will Do

• Perform calibration, verification, and functional testing of mechanical and measurement equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain calibration records, certificates, and documentation to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret technical procedures, schematics, and documentation related to calibration equipment and processes.
• Use precision measurement tools and laboratory equipment to support production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve calibration processes and operational efficiency.
• Support audits related to laboratory operations and quality systems.
• May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed in this description within the scope and skill level of this job, and may be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications as required for the assigned area.

Qualifications

Required: HS Diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of measurement equipment, electronics, or calibration processes. Ability to read technical procedures, schematics, and documentation. Ability to work independently as part of a team.

Preferred: Internal (recall) to Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and affiliated locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations). Previous experience in a calibration laboratory, manufacturing, or technical support environment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. Strong communication and customer support skills. Technical certifications related to calibration, electronics, or instrumentation.
