Job summary

EControls seeks a motivated Engine Calibration Engineer to work in the dynamometer lab and with customers. You will engage in development and calibration activities, ensuring engine performance aligns with customer targets.

The role blends hands-on testing with technical support, requiring strong fundamentals in mechanical, electrical, and software aspects and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with engine calibration/testing/development.
• Proficiency with PC-based presentation, spreadsheets, and word processors.
• Basic understanding of electrical, software, and mechanical disciplines.
• Foundational knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, dynamics, thermodynamics, circuits, and compressible flow.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply engine operating fundamentals, calibration strategies, and calibration techniques.
• Complete engine and application calibrations to meet customer performance targets.
• Test new and existing engine products for suitability in customer applications.
• Provide technical support to customers on products and calibration.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are seeking a highly motivated engine Calibration Engineer with desire to work both in our extensive dynamometer lab and with our customers. We offer an environment that is always interesting & challenging.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply engine operating fundamentals, engine management strategies, and calibration techniques
• Complete solid engine and application calibrations in a timely manner, meeting the customer performance targets
• Test new and existing engine products, as required, validating suitability for use in customer applications
• Provide technical support to our customers on all aspects of their application as it relates to our products and calibration
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous exposure to engine calibration/testing/development.
• Working knowledge of PC-based presentation, spreadsheet, & word processing software.
• Basicunderstanding in following engineering disciplines; electrical, software, & mechanical.
• Basic understanding of equations governing hydraulics/pneumatics, rotational/linear mechanical dynamics, thermodynamics, electricalcircuits, and compressible flow.
