Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration, commissioning, and validation across HIL, dynamometer, and vehicle testing environments.
  • Support system-level calibration development and validation for propulsion and electrified vehicle features.
  • Execute test plans, analyze results, and identify hardware, software, or calibration issues.
  • Support emissions and fuel economy testing including data review and issue investigation.
  • Coordinate vehicle and test resource readiness for development and validation programs.
  • Provide troubleshooting support across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Lead development and validation activities supporting key program milestones.
  • Prepare testing summaries, performance reports, and findings for leadership.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer for calibration and validation teams.
  • Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

We are seeking a Hybrid Emissions Calibration Engineer to support the integration, validation, and testing of advanced propulsion and electrified powertrain systems. This role will be responsible for leading calibration system integration efforts across simulation environments, dynamometer testing, and vehicle-level validation activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in powertrain systems, calibration development, emissions validation, and electrified propulsion technologies. This position requires someone who can work cross-functionally with controls, software, validation, and engineering teams to ensure robust system performance and successful program execution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead integration, commissioning, and validation activities across HIL, dynamometer, and vehicle testing environments
  • Support system-level calibration development and validation for propulsion and electrified vehicle features
  • Execute test plans, analyze results, and identify hardware, software, or calibration issues
  • Support emissions and fuel economy testing activities including data review and issue investigation
  • Coordinate vehicle and test resource readiness for development and validation programs
  • Provide troubleshooting support and drive issue resolution efforts across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Lead development and validation activities supporting key program milestones
  • Prepare testing summaries, performance reports, and technical findings for engineering leadership
  • Support training and knowledge transfer activities for calibration and validation teams
  • Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Automotive engineering experience through industry work, internships, research projects, Formula SAE, Baja SAE, EcoCAR, or similar programs
  • Strong understanding of powertrain systems and vehicle controls
  • Experience developing and executing structured test and validation plans
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with calibration development and validation for electrified vehicle applications
  • Knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink
  • Experience with calibration and data analysis tools
  • Understanding of powertrain controls, diagnostics, embedded software, or systems engineering
  • Knowledge of electric machines, power electronics, and energy flow management
  • Experience supporting engine, transmission, electrification, or propulsion system development
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
